Leaders of the Stanford Journalism and Democracy Initiative have created an annual course, Exploring Computational Journalism. Jointly offered by the departments of Communication and Computer Science, Comm 281/CS 206 is a project-based course that explores the use of data science, information visualization, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to help journalists discover and tell stories, understand their audience, advance free speech, and build trust.
